Golf Tournement for breast cancer
The details have now been finalized and the First Annual Kingston Golf Tournament
The Kingston will be hosting a shotgun style golf Tournament on Tuesday July 15th at Green Acres golf course in Richmond.
The charge for this tournament will be $75 a person. Or $300 for a group of 4.
We will also be offering transportation from the Kingston to the course as well as transportation from the course back to the Kingston at the end of tournament. The cost for the transportation will be $15 per person. Making the total with transportation $90.
This tournament will be in partnership with the Servers for a cure Breast Cancer Fundraiser and partial proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the event.
The format of the tournament will be a shotgun start. (144 players) and be a Texas scramble. Basic rules will be everyone on a team will take a drive, and the team will choose the best drive to use. Then the next shot will be played from that spot. The 3 remaining players will take the 2nd shot; same format follows with every player dropping their ball at the spot of the best second shot. From that point on all 4 players will be allowed to play the remaining shots. You must take 3 drives from each player over the course of 18 holes. Par 3’s do not count.
There will be prizes and a reception back at the Kingston after the tournament where players will receive a burger and beer. Prizes will be for low score for top 3 groups. As well as men’s and ladies long drive and closest to the pin. There will also be other prizes in ways of random draws.
We will be offering sandwiches and refreshments to players on the course, as well as other possible mini games. (Get your shot closer than a Kingston manager on a par 3 for a prize)
We will also be issuing a challenge to any bar or restaurant around the city for the "Kingston Cup", which will be for the lowest group score. The bar that wins will receive the trophy to display in their bar for a set amount of time.
In addition, if your wanted a 'server' to be at your beck and call during the whole day of golf, opening your beverages, grabbing your food, carrying your golf clubs, or even holding an umbrella to create shade, then why not buy a caddy!! Carlene, Lien, Melody and Crystal, servers at the Kingston Taphouse and Grille, are all up for bid for the day. And will be by your side the whole day helping throughout the course. For a donation of $200 per server, or $300 for 2 servers ( all monies raised from the bidding of the caddies go towards the fundraiser) you can enjoy the whole day of golf relaxing, and enjoying the service!
This day is sure to be great day for all who attend, space is limited however so it is important that you book your group or yourself as soon as possible. With the amount of feedback we have gotten it sure to fill up fast.
If there are any questions please feel free to contact The Kingston at any time at 604-681-7011
Thank you

About Vitamin D
Vitamin D promotes healthy hair and skin and prevents against cancer
New research shows that vitamin D may do more than help keep bones healthy. Tissues in the skin, brain, pancreas and elsewhere rely on this vitamin, too, to stay healthy. In addition, getting adequate amounts of vitamin D may bolster your immune system and even prevent cancers. The body synthesizes vitamin D from sunlight, and it is found naturally in oily fish such as salmon, mackerel and herring; liver; egg yolks; and butter.
